BC Municipal Elections Candidate Surveys

BC MUNICIPAL CANDIDATE FRESHWATER SURVEY

Municipal governments have a big role to play when it comes to protecting the health of our shared waters. With municipal elections coming up October 20th in BC we wanted to help you get a better handle on what municipal governments can do to protect freshwater with resources available here and a detailed list of answers on water from the candidates running in your community.

We would all like to give our sincere thanks to all candidates for putting their names forward for this election and the opportunity to serve the people of our great communities. A healthy vibrant democracy is dependent on active citizens, both constituents and candidates, participating in the electoral process, and engaging with one another.

This survey organized by Our Water BC with partners Watershed Watch Salmon Society and  Fraser Riverkeeper.

*Please note as additional responses are returned we will be updating the results in the lead up to election day on October 20th.
