Welcoming Katherine Finn to the CFA Steering Committee

We are thrilled to welcome Katherine Finn to our growing Steering Committee in 2022!

Read on to learn about Katherine's connection with her watershed and experience working with the North Saskatchewan River Basin Council

Katherine Finn lives in rural Saskatchewan overlooking the North Saskatchewan River the traditional highway of the Plains Cree and Métis.  She shares this vantage with her three children, her husband and many other species.

Katherine completed her Bachelor's in Environmental Earth Sciences at the University of Saskatchewan and has been working for the North Saskatchewan River Basin Council for the last fourteen years, to address source water protection.  Her favourite part of this includes working with Indigenous Communities to increase their water security and resiliency.

She also enjoys helping children to discover how they can protect their water sources, recreational cabin owners to understand how their lawns are comparable to the pesky cattle across the lake, and municipalities to include water management initiatives with their many operations.
