Melissa Dick grew up in the Outaouais region of Quebec and is grateful for having had the opportunity to live, work, and play in some of the most urban and remote regions of Canada.

She completed her graduate studies at Carleton University in Geography and Biology where she studied freshwater contaminants and sustainable fisheries practices.

In her work with AquaAction, she is inspired every day to support young innovators in centring their social impact and business initiatives on restoring freshwater health.
