Where are we now? Assessing the proposed revisions to Canada's environmental laws

Earlier this month, the Federal Government released two new bills: Bill C-68, a An Act to amend the Fisheries Act and other Acts in consequence; and Bill C-69, An Act to enact the Impact Assessment Act and the Canadian Energy Regulator Act, to amend the Navigation Protection Act and to make consequential amendments to other Acts.

For those of you who don’t have time to read the combined 488 pages of Bill C-68 and Bill C-69 but still want to know what they mean for environmental protections in Canada: don’t worry, we got you covered. The Canadian Freshwater Alliance will be joined by the Climate Action Network - Réseau action climat Canada, Forum for Leadership on Water, the Pembina Institute and West Coast Environmental Law to host a webinar on the proposed revisions to Canada’s major environmental legislation and what it means.

The webinar will take place on March 23rd at 10am PT / 1pm ET and will last for 90 minutes. It is free to attend, but space is limited! Secure your spot by RSVPing below.
