Where are we now? Webinar

In March 2018, the Federal Government made good on its commitment to revising Canada's environmental framework when it released two new bills: Bill C-68, a An Act to amend the Fisheries Act and other Acts in consequence; and Bill C-69, An Act to enact the Impact Assessment Act and the Canadian Energy Regulator Act, to amend the Navigation Protection Act and to make consequential amendments to other Acts.

These laws proposed changes to how land, water and species are protected in Canada. But do they go far enough? In this webinar, we were joined by Climate Action Network - Réseau action climat Canada, Forum for Leadership on Water, the Pembina Institute and West Coast Environmental Law to discuss what the proposed laws mean and how we can continue to push for stronger protections.
